Dear GPLC Families,

It is my pleasure to welcome our new, and returning families to the 2018 Lacrosse Season.  It is our second as the Glacier Peak Lacrosse Club.  This year we will continue to build upon a solid foundation, and a very successful 2017 season that included impressive accomplishments at every level.   We continue to strive for excellence in the organization, and in the Lacrosse experience for our current and future members.  I know we will achieve it, as our club continues to be defined by desire, dedication and commitment.

On behalf of the Board of Directors and the larger GPLC family, I would like to thank Greta Graves and Adrian Weaver for their service to the club.  Without their help we would not have been able to get the club off to the tremendous start that we had.  Thank you both.  At the same time, we would like to welcome Krista Wilkinson and Angie Bush to the board.  They are on-board and committed to providing the same tremendous level of support to the organization.

We expect to field at least 6 teams this season and will participate in two different leagues; Washington High School Boys Lacrosse Association (WHSBLA), and North Sound Youth Lacrosse (NSYL).  We ended last year with just over 100 players in the organization.  This year, we are very happy to announce that we expect to field both Varsity and Junior Varsity HS teams.  We have also have high hopes of growing our Youth program.  Ultimately, the number of teams is up to the members.  Get out, recruit your friends and grow the game!  Lastly, we have THE most dedicated volunteers that are committed to making the GPLC a great place to play Lacrosse.

As we reviewed the survey results we were pleased with much of what we saw, however, it is clear that we have more work to do.  Positive notes included, a great inaugural season, the development of our club culture, social events, and the coaching.  Success breeds success, and soon you will see news on Club events intended to foster continued engagement and growth.  Negatives included communications, player development and also coaching.  We have taken that feedback and intend to improve this season with newsletter, and new opportunities for player development.

We are starting the next chapter of the GPLC story, and it will be better than the first.  We are excited for the kids, our community, and to start the season.  The Glacier Peak Lacrosse Club is something special, and we look forward to having you on the team. Registeration is Open!
